  1. Hey, got some more questions:

    1) Tents. Do people take them or get them in Spain. If so, how? Do people strap it to their suitcase, inside it or generally get a cheap one there?

    2) Spending money? I was thinking about £200.

    3) Supermarket locations, names? Would be nice to look them up before hand

    4) How good is the beach for drinks, and food? I take it there are some nice places near by? Is there a high street of sorts?

    5) Were campfires used, or do people not bother? Just thinking for light at night

    6) Time for people to sleep? Is it just whenever, or during the day (when music is on)? If the music goes from 6pm - 6am, do people sleep during the day, and make use of the beach during the days before the festival?

    Thank you!

  2. Seperate tents 100% - the heat and uncomfortable factor is x10 worse if you have bodies around you! You can also make your own little area by positioning your tents.

£140!? Bare in mind each day at Beni is like a beach holiday in the day, then an all night party on the night.

Personally I will get through about £300that will include a few beers down the beach, trip to waterpark, couple of meals out, breakfasts in the morning. Nothing too lavish tbh.

Even if you are only there Thursday-Sunday I just don't see how you could enjoy yourself in 'holiday mode' you would have to be really really careful.

I don't want to say you couldn't do it but you will be walking everywhere, drinking 4 euro vodka and eating bread and ham!!!!

  3. Can't wait for this! I'm going up from Reus at around 12 so should get there around 1:30pm! Gonna be posting here for packing advice and timing! COMPLETELY different from Reading, and should be easier in many ways.

    1) We are deciding on whether to take tents each, small pop up things, or to buy one massive tent to stick all storage in and with compartments etc. good idea or not?

    2) How much spending? £140 should cover it surely?

    Such as who?

  4. None this week, I asked them today.

Was thinking of nice acts to add: Phoenix, Fall Out Boy, Chapel Club (spoke to band, said no), We Are Scientists, Ben Howard.

    twitter...

Im pissed off with their twitter account tbf - keep asking about the wristband exchange but they are too busy answering the same bloody question .....'when is the next headliner announced'

    tossers

  5. Hi folks,

I do not know how ribas_oasis understants de renfe prices tables, the normal single fare from Barcelona to Benicassim is around 34.20 (look at 20th June 2013), you get a 20% discount if you buy a return (34.20 - 20% = 27.35 for each journey + 4 for the airport to Barcelona-sans station , will cost you 31.35 each way

not much saving than booking a coach witch takes you from/to the terminal 2 to/from the festival arena. prices at the moment are 33.75 from the two major coach companies offering airport transfers.

July/Agust prices not published yet, but I am sure they will go up and not down.

try for yourself, it is english

  6. Hello, I'm from Barcelona and the trains from BCN to Beni will be available in mid-april. If you want I would notify you when they will start to be availabl if you send me a private message saying so.

In Barcelona: AIRPORT to train costs like 4-5

Trains (R.E.N.F.E.) BCN-Beni (if you book them with enough time) they cost 13 (one way travel) (26 go and return).

    TOTAL: around 35

The official transport costs 45 (one way) airport to beni, 90 go and return.

So if anyone wants to be notified when the train tickets will be available send me a private message and in mid-april I can message you to tell how to go by train from the airport in Barcelona.

    ;)

  7. Bastille are my favourite out of those announced, and that is saying something. Poor announcement.

You may be right about the reason but I personally doubt it,

Each festival is run differently and to say Headliners are all booked WAY in advanced is incorrect, negotiations can be a lengthy process, and while the fourth headliner may already be decided its not a written rule they are decided ages before...

have a gander at this insight from sasquatch's founder....

I suspect there is lots going on behind closed doors - they gain nothing by intentionally delaying the announcements as some people seem to think they do

  8. I've said it so many times, but the fact Bwnicassim is at night and that there are these things called planes, same day festivals is not a problem. Foals did it before. If beni paid up, they'd have them. Bloc party are potential though, along with The 1975 and Peace.

  9. Lets face it...They don't know

they are in constant negotiations with bands and agents/managers.

They believe they are close to sealing a few contracts, they already have some signed on the dotted line, but releasing a disappointing batch would be detrimental to ticket sales so they will wait until they are happy

    thats my thoughts anyway

  10. But Bloc Party and Foals are headlining... Alt-J are playing, along with Everything everything, Maccabees, James Blake, Hot Chip, Daughter, DISCLOSURE (saw these mentioned, have no idea who they are), Villagers.

Foals could play, technically. They could play on the Friday, easily.

  11. Villacamp is closer to site than halfway to beach, so I'd guess 15 minutes max, probably 10?

Also, having considered Open'er, so annoying to see Editors and Alt-J playing! Any chance of them playing Benicassim? And also, Latitude line up Monday, will rule out bands for the weekend completely basically.
