You can get the megabus from glasgow to london and then london to reading (and then back up obviously), works out at about £30-40 return so it's great if you don't mind buses
I always see people saying you can get the train down cheap but having looked at the prices the hour the tickets became available, I've never seen them for anything below £120?
-
Hopefully: Panic! at the Disco, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kids in Glass Houses, Frank Ocean, A Day To Remember, The Weeknd
-
Not sure if it would apply to the UK, but the guitarist from all time low tweeted a while ago that they'd signed on to support Green Day in europe in the autumn with angels & airwaves.
Edit: I found the tweet, didn't actually say anything about autumn though oops
Just booked a couple European shows with Greenday/Angels and Airwaves. Fucking amazing!

Biffy - Jay-Z - Pearl Jam would be great imo.
(And with regards to Pearl Jam, I'm 17 and I like them, and I don't think they're too old.)
-
They did sell them out
-
I think they might headline TITP next year. From what i've heard the Scots go mental over Scottish bands, so I doubt it would be too conversational if they headlined.
Considering they're subbing at IOW and Download and headlined Sonisphere last year. Surely they can't be that far off? Considering Arcade Fire and MCR have headlined in the last two years, and Biffy are bigger than both were before the line up was announced, I really can't see that popularity is really that much of a problem.
-
Aren't these gigs the same kinda size MCR were doing though in 2010?
-
Love Letters - supporting Panic! at the Disco last may, I went to a couple dates and they seemed to get more comfortable on stage as the tour went on but they were just terrible.
Blood On The Dancefloor - warped '11. someone I was with liked them and when I went to meet him he was watching them. Not really sure how they have any fans at all.
S.C.U.M - supporting The Kills in may last year at the ABC
Prima Donna - supporting Green Day at the SECC in 2009
LostAlone - supporting MCR I think in march last year? at the secc. no idea how they got on that tour.
Frankie & The Heartstrings - supporting florence & the machine in 2009
-
Basing off of this http:///s/readingfestival2k12/?user=00hhrt.yq& I have:
The Cure/ Sleigh Bells - might just leave the cure early to watch sleigh bells.
OFWGKTA/ Santigold/ Grimes/ Don Broco - not sure. probably odd future.
Enter Shikari/ Billy Talent/ Modestep/ We Are The In Crowd - worst. clash. so upset. actually not sure what i'll do.
Florence/ Azaelia Banks/ Young Guns - thinking azaelia then go catch the rest of florence.
Foo Fighters/ Justice - since it's a special occasion and it's where all my friends'll be i'm pretty sure i'll be at foos.
So one terrible one but all in all not so bad.

For people asking about Fall Out Boy, Stump basically said he couldn't see a future in the band. Something about people giving him too much abuse for it and stuff.
-
Maybe Patrick couldn't sing years ago, but especially now that he's lost all the weight he's amazing live.
I thought they were great, but I've only seen them once

ready to get hate

Just get the train, nice and simple and if booked early in advance could be around £50/60
-
If you want to get there quick, you're better flying then getting the train from Gatwick to Reading. I think that costs around £100 tho
If you wanna get there cheap, megabus! Glasgow to Reading costs about £30. It does take a lot longer than flying, but you can get one overnight and if you don't mind buses & want to save money it's the best choice.
I don't think a lot of scottish people go, we got a lot of 'you're scottish, why didn't you go to leeds?' last year but there is some
-
Were Paramore really that bad in 2010? I've seen them a couple times, both in outside & inside settings and they were amazing, one of the best live bands I've seen.
I would also say they're a really strong booking as nowhere else has them this year, this is the first time they'll be back in the UK after Josh & Zac left, they've not played here for 2 years, they sold out arenas the last two tours they did here & they'll attract a lot of first time festival goers, they're very popular with the school leavers age.

Azelia Banks is at V i think

You Me At Six, Lostprophets, All Time Low, Azealia Banks, Childish Gambino, OFWGKTA, Mayday Parade, We Are The In Crowd, Marina & The Diamonds, Panic! at the Disco, Sleigh Bells, Knife Party, Deaf Havana, Young Guns, Twin Atlantic, Wu-Tang Clan, Sum 41

Over-18 wristbands?
in Reading Festival
Posted
I got an over-18 wristband last year when i was on the way in with a fake id that looked nothing like me. The girl gave me a bit of a sceptical look but still gave me it. I think you'd be fine getting one with fake id.
I never actually tried to use the wristband/id to buy alcohol on -site but tesco accepted the id fine so just get stuff there and bring it down
