  1. I think it depends on how good the sales have performed.

They have dropped cheap tickets around this time in the previous 3 years. Sometimes they make it look like they unintentionally made them generally available for everyone when it was only a limited number of tickets available for a specific group of people.

It seems like a last resort attempt to cash in the most they can, and generally, in the long run, a bad practice as people like you and me will be waiting for the cheap tickets to drop before paying full price, obviously.

This year could be the year they stop it though. That would only be fair for the people who already bought tickets.

It's pretty much like touts, you arrive at a sold out event 1 hour before the event and they will try to sell tickets above the price, arrive 10 mins and they will sell you below the price.

  2. Optimus Alive normally doesn't let people down but it's unveliable how many potenial headliners they have missed. It would make sense if it were the purple one. He always comes to Portugal when he crosses the Atlantic to pay a visit to his platonic love, Ana Moura.

  3. They're either struggling to find an headliner or it's going to be the little guy who doesn't like to annouce it until the very last minute. Or they can always call the biggest portuguese band, Xutos & Pontapes, as a last resort. It's what they normally do when thigs like these happen. Although lot of people wouldn't be happy about it, it would be a good chance for them to get to know them.

  4. Weird... On their facebook page they're saying it was a mistake, it's Eddie Vedder that will be at SBSR after all.

Well, perhaps we should consider Prince as possibility for Optimus Alive then... He goes to Portugal very often, you never know...
