I thought they were brilliant, if not a bit spooky. I kept seeing them all weekend
-
Favourite Act: Oddly enough I thought Showaddywaddy were so bad they were brilliant, Example had the crowd rocking, and didn’t take himself seriously, I really enjoyed Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Bellowhead also
Biggest let down: The sound production of The Little Comets, I love this group but you could hardly hear Robert Coles.
Best find (band wise): CW Stoneking, The Leisure Society & Elliot Morris
Best moment of SS'11: Great choice of real ales, and excellent food stalls, hardly any rain, no idiots at all !! oh and fantastic music. This is just a fantastic festival, although I guarantee the drinks policy will change next year. I think unlimited drinks in the camp field with NO alcohol in the festival site, even if this means increasing the camp cost as a “tax”. I cant see how it could be policed with a 12 can limit in these areas.

I suspect it will have all settled down by the weekend, and ironically it will probably be safer in Leicester city centre than in previous years, judging by how many police will be on duty

With the trouble in Leicester last night, will the low life scum manage to get this great festival cancelled ? I really hope not but I assume the organisers and police will not allow any risk to public safety. Not wanting to be doom & gloom I have a worry about this. I have even had a little look at possible alternatives. City centre trouble wont stop me going, but I suspect the police may have a different view

Seems odd cancelling so many gigs. Would have liked to have seen him

Just been to one of the ticket outlets, a real flurry of purchases in the last 24 hrs, looking like a good attendance, and the weather forecast improving hour by hour. Very much looking forward to Goldheart Assembly, Sparrow & the Workshop, Ade Edmondson and TOPLOADER, one of my favourite bands. Promises to be a fantastic weekend, tickets are available on the door, cash only

Anyone got any idea of the timings and what time it all starts on Friday. Hoping to get there about 2ish but dont want to miss anything. Cheers

Looks a nice festival with good lineup and seriously thinking about getting tickets for this one, but just wanted to check if it's OK to take own drinks into arena?

At least the clues are easier than the first batch. I actually think Showaddywaddy will work brilliantly well, its a risk but I think it will pay off.

Looking forward to this festival, which is in its second year. Road & rail links are good and the site is very good with fantastic views. Cant wait to see Top Loader, who I believe issue a new album this year

Any suggestions for this evening, we have two children and we like a drink so a bar would be good ?
-
I had to ring the box office as I had no proof of purchase, they told me no tickets were being sent out, however they then arrived last Friday morning.

Thanks for that, really helpful

First time I have been to a festival knowing so little about the majority of bands/acts. Anyone got some recommendations ?
