I was wrong, you do need a normal parking ticket. Reply from Claire:
You do also need a bought car parking ticket as well as the disabled parking pass I sent you. -
I'm still waiting for mine in Runcorn. My sister had hers delivered last week, we live in the same damn house. Now it's saying on DX "The item is due for or has recently been returned"
-
I'm not convinced you do need an additional parking ticket for disabled parking. It doesn't say in the disabled pack and my parents didn't need one last year.
I will email Claire @ Glasto to find out

Runcorn (Cheshire). So so excited

Just had the following e-mail from See. I assume the tracking number at DX is different to the see tickets number?

My mum was there last year with my dad as her PA. They received a sticker/label to gain access to the designated disabled parking areas. You will need to have this showing before you get into the car parks as the stewards will direct you from the roads. This sticker will let you know which car park and gate you need to head to.
Once you get parked up there is a portacabin which is where the PA will get their ticket and wrist bands. Then you get on a mini bus with all your camping stuff which will take you to the disabled camping site. There are volunteers to help with your stuff and you also have your own spot picked out ready.
Glastonbury are brilliant for anyone disabled. My mum and dad loved it so much they are going back again this year.
Also, the PA will need to take photo ID with them to get their ticket/wristband.
Hope that helps but any questions let me know

What a stressful morning that was! Managed to get 10 tickets for my friends and family as they didn't even get close to the booking page,I had a very lucky morning. Even though I've had my confirmation email I will not relax until I have the ticket in my hand!!!
262 days to go

Black Keys
in Chat
They were one of my highlights of the weekend, so good live. Love their new album, I think it is slowly becoming one of my favourites.
I also fancy Dan a little bit more after their show
-
Best:
Fanfarlo - shame they only had a small crowd, they were brilliant.
Stevie - what a great way to end, loved every minute of it
Mumford & Sons - they had the best crowd of the whole weekend and they are brilliant live
The Black Keys - was so looking forward to these, they didn't let me down! Patrick is a brilliant drummer
The National - Matt is a nutter. Glad they played a lot of their old stuff.
Worst:
Kate Nash, what a rude b*tch , make some better music and you might have a better crowd. And Gorillaz, YAWN!!
Surprise:
Kele - wasn't expecting much from him but I really enjoyed his set and loved the Bloc Party tunes too.
I want to go back
-
definitely worth buying those flip flops today then
Didn't like the look of that rain heading our way for the weekend though
-
I had to visit them twice last year, both times they were brilliant. I had really bad sunburn/blisters on my shoulders and arms, I looked like a Gremlin when they get water on their backs, ouch
-
I've used Seetickets/Gigsandtours for years and never had a problem.
I can't stand Ticketmaster, they make me.....
-
Bad times for Bono, hope he gets better soon!
If U2 did cancel, I would love to see Jamiroquai replace them. They are brilliant live and Jay Kay knows how to get the crowd going. They are supporting Stevie on Saturday @ Hyde park so they could get involved. I'm probably on my own with this one but I don't care
-
This is the band I'm most excited about seeing and they don't clash with anyone else I want to watch, winner

My mum is off to Glasto this year (first ever festival) and will be taking her wheelchair. She is also hiring a electric scooter from Event Mobility who are on site, not sure if that would help your boyfriend but there are details on the Glastonbury website. The scooter she will be getting has 5 wheels apparently so that should help if it gets muddy (it really isn't going to be muddy though, fact).
I can't offer you any experiences yet sorry but the below links persuaded my mum to give Glastonbury a whirl. Hope the links work

Hope that helps.

Hmm, sounds like they might have few issues for U2 and Muse then, oh well.
thanks for your input guys, really appreciate it
-
that's great, cheers StoneCircle

Might be a silly question, what's the deal with the viewing platforms ? Is it pretty much first come first served basis to get on? How popular are they? Is there a limit of how many people you can have with you?
My mum is going this year with my dad as her PA. I would like to help my dad out if I can and let him do his own thing if/when he wants to.
thanks in advance

I reckon Fanfarlo will impress this year, our very own Arcade Fire. I can't wait to see them.
Oh and I'm a newbie, hello!!!!!
