  1. Just noticed Nic Fanciulli is playing Glade on thursday, not trance but love that guy from my Ibiza space days (long time ago)

  2. Mary J & Catfish

    Foo's & Rudimental & Jamie XX

    The Who & The Chems

    Florance & The Vaccines

Van the man & Clean bandit

Pharrelle & Ben Howard & La Roux

Kanye & Deadmau5 (I want to watch deadmau5, wife wants to watch Kanye)

So I have a few decisions to call, probably miss a load of them though just doing random Glasto stuff. As you do. :alcoholic::good::dancer::friends:

  3. Know I'll probably get slated on here :suicide: , but are there any trance DJ's on at Glasto this year? Think I knew about 2 names on the Silver Hayes line-up.

    Lets say it's for a friend :dancer::dance::music:

  4. For 6 of us we're taking-

6 x 20 creates of fruit cider (Mix of strongbow dark fruit, rekorderling & brothers)

4 x 20 creates of normal cider (Strongbow and Magners)

    2L Vodka

    2L Dark Rum

1L Some type of shot stuff, absynth maybe? or probably just end up with sambuca?

  5. B&M bargains. Also selling passionfruit rekorderlig cider. Only place I've seen it at all. Cleared out the tolworth store yesterday

No bottles allowed though or is it rekorderling in cans?

  6. Quite normal, but not everyone gets it like that. Lots of people love it but for some it strikes a deeper resonance and you see echoes of it everywhere. As Ez says you fall in love and it can be all consuming

Over the years it wore me down a bit - the run up is much longer than the festival which seemed to flash by. I'd arrive so het up I'd get ruined before i started. Slowly I learnt to keep it to an insistent trickle until the festival is close, let it build to a roar as the gates open until sometime usually thursday it explodes

It's always there though and occasionally it's fun to look behind the floodgates at years of OMFG moments and deeply treasured memories that will make my heart flutter for many many years to come. Roll on the electric twilight and the gathering revellers, the surge of the dancing crowds and the seconds that slow to a near standstill when just then, just there surrounded by the expanse of the festival everything is perfect.

Love this post, sums it up perfectly

  7. I have a ticket to the Heaton Park gig but I'm going to be away at work so my sister in-law will be using it, so I'm buzzing that they are playing Glasto.

I loved there first Three albums but i still haven't even bought there fourth Albums so i suppose that says it all regards in which direction i think they have been going.

Still loved every gig I've been to. :music:

  8. As people above have said, use the lockups - even for things like cigarettes (which are easily converted currency as ever packet is the equivalent of a fiver or more).

By day I wear a gilet (a bit like a waistcoat but with lots of zip up pockets). Spread cash and credit cards around the pockets and, if you are really cautious, put a safety pin through the zip pull of the valuables pockets.

Or if your not an OAP setting off on a jungle expedition Attenborough style..........put all your cash in your wallet and your wallet in your jeans front pocket.

  9. I feel tight, but I never want to offer any tips on these sorts of threads! I just worry that if someone says "gate F has the shortest queues" then everyone in Internet land will end up going to gate F and it will be rammed. Same with campsite recommendations and arrival times.

It's a real worry that you'll be queuing for hours and will miss out on your preferred spot but I don't know if these threads can help you out that much as there may be a lot if people reading them and they may all heed the same advice.
