  1. This year about 15-20 minutes. Green and brown aren't there so nowhere is that far away.

Cheers. Not arriving until after 3pm on the Thursday (coming from Edinburgh) so we'll probably be camped furthest away.

15-20 minutes is nothing though compared to the 45 minute trek that is/was T in the Park.

  2. Its been the way they've done if ever since i can remember unfortunately.

Cheers. First time at Leeds this year.

At least it's better than T in the Park. The only way to get the set times for that are by buying a lanyard when you get there. Not released anywhere else.

  3. Guess I'd count as a newbie? 2nd festival for me this year and I remember people on here saying that it felt like it was turning into a mini TITP last year.

I had a really good festival but that was pretty much all down to me and my mates in the campsite, the lineup was pretty poor and there were only about 6 or so over the whole weekend who I really enjoyed. Didn't really notice that much of a change in the atmosphere from last year except that there were more mosh pits.

Will definitely wait until the lineup is announced next year, or at least the headliners before buying a ticket. Would be gutted to miss it but the lineup at Parklife looked a lot better undercard wise.

So basically what I'm saying is that the main problem for me was the poor lineup and not the atmosphere...

  4. Really enjoyed myself, had an amazing time in the campsite with mates and enjoyed most of the acts I saw!

    Highlights:

    - Act wise: The Wombats, Chemical Bros, Magnetic Man, Zane Lowe, Laidback Luke

    - Amount of different drinks on sale at the bars (prices are a different matter but not terrible compared to other festivals)

    Lowlights:

    - Glasvegas. I'm a pretty big fan but the lead singer looked off his face and it was like they were playing a track over him. He kept asking for the mic to be turned up, missing lines etc. Was strange and I was pretty gutted.

    - How cold it was at night!

Can't think of anything else just now, as I said up there most of the fun came from the campsite/drinking with mates but saw a lot of very good acts! Will probably add more later after some sleep.

  5. I just got home to discover that my booze order from Tesco has not been delivered. My bus tomorrow is at 7am from Glasgow.

Total disaster. Does anyone have any suggestions or am I completely screwed?

  6. I've given up looking at the weather, changes far too much for anything to seem reliable. I'm packed for all weather anyway so no point worrying about it.

Can't be any worse than T in the Park last year though!

  7. Does anyone know if Asda/Tesco still have the 5 for £5 on pre mixed vodka/jim beam cans? I've been meaning to go all week but only getting round to it tonight!

    Fingers crossed!

    Sx

  8. Cribs V Chems is a bit of a nightmare clash for me. I was all set to see the Chems up until Marr left the Cribs and now I'm really torn as I hope they'll be back to their best now that Johnny Marr has buggered off

  9. We arrived about 4:30pm last year and we still got a decent enough space in Yellow (well, it was on a slope :P) really close to the arena entrance.

Think we'll be aiming for the back of yellow this year, we're arriving about 12:30pm so hopefully there will still be enough space!
