This year about 15-20 minutes. Green and brown aren't there so nowhere is that far away.
Cheers. Not arriving until after 3pm on the Thursday (coming from Edinburgh) so we'll probably be camped furthest away.
15-20 minutes is nothing though compared to the 45 minute trek that is/was T in the Park.

Random question (and really off-topic) but how long, roughly, does it take to walk from one of the furthest camping spots to the arena at Leeds?
-
Its been the way they've done if ever since i can remember unfortunately.
Cheers. First time at Leeds this year.
At least it's better than T in the Park. The only way to get the set times for that are by buying a lanyard when you get there. Not released anywhere else.
-
Is this what they did with the set times last year? A stage a day? I'll probably buy a lanyard/program anyway but would be nice to know of any clashes before we left.
-
First time at Leeds this year - are set times announced before the festival or is it a case of buying a lanyard/programme there to find them out?
-
Would you ever consider making the bars into a token system like at T in the Park?
Based on this year's festival, are there any major changes you are looking to make for next year?
-
surely the poor lineup and poor atmosphere go hand in hand? When the chems ended their set, the crowd had stopped applauding while they were still on stage waving. Never seen the like.

Guess I'd count as a newbie? 2nd festival for me this year and I remember people on here saying that it felt like it was turning into a mini TITP last year.
I had a really good festival but that was pretty much all down to me and my mates in the campsite, the lineup was pretty poor and there were only about 6 or so over the whole weekend who I really enjoyed. Didn't really notice that much of a change in the atmosphere from last year except that there were more mosh pits.
Will definitely wait until the lineup is announced next year, or at least the headliners before buying a ticket. Would be gutted to miss it but the lineup at Parklife looked a lot better undercard wise.
So basically what I'm saying is that the main problem for me was the poor lineup and not the atmosphere...

It was The Magician, was it not?

Really enjoyed myself, had an amazing time in the campsite with mates and enjoyed most of the acts I saw!
Highlights:
- Act wise: The Wombats, Chemical Bros, Magnetic Man, Zane Lowe, Laidback Luke
- Amount of different drinks on sale at the bars (prices are a different matter but not terrible compared to other festivals)
Lowlights:
- Glasvegas. I'm a pretty big fan but the lead singer looked off his face and it was like they were playing a track over him. He kept asking for the mic to be turned up, missing lines etc. Was strange and I was pretty gutted.
- How cold it was at night!
Can't think of anything else just now, as I said up there most of the fun came from the campsite/drinking with mates but saw a lot of very good acts! Will probably add more later after some sleep.

I just got home to discover that my booze order from Tesco has not been delivered. My bus tomorrow is at 7am from Glasgow.
Total disaster. Does anyone have any suggestions or am I completely screwed?

Camping is one of the main parts of going to a fest I believe!! you should just camp

Never done it myself but I'd say go for it. There's an efest camp so you can meet people off this site: /index.php?showtopic=158323&st=120">efest camp
That topic has all the info of where they're camping and contact number etc.

Does anyone know if Asda/Tesco still have the 5 for £5 on pre mixed vodka/jim beam cans? I've been meaning to go all week but only getting round to it tonight!
Fingers crossed!

Did you do a test run with the mix I made?
-
Interesting. I was not aware of these pouches! Is it straight vodka or mixed or what? Good idea for smuggling
-
The power hour oh no I'm worried hahahaha but in honesty explain what the power hour is
-
Having said that - I haven't seen a line up for howards end - so maybe it's not so much of a stage this year
-
I thought it was meant to be a bigger version of the Arcadia this year? That looks the same size to me. Could be wrong though!
Pictures look great though! Can't wait!

We arrived about 4:30pm last year and we still got a decent enough space in Yellow (well, it was on a slope ) really close to the arena entrance.
Think we'll be aiming for the back of yellow this year, we're arriving about 12:30pm so hopefully there will still be enough space!

Anyone going planning on going to this?

23rd - 24th September 2016. Bitts Park, Carlisle.
I'm a fan of the lineup (Feeder, Enemy, Reverend and the Makers) but it's the event's first year so there's very little information about it.
Myself and a few friends are considering coming down from Edinburgh for the two days. Should be good!
