Pearl Jam
Pls.

Saw them for the third time at the Leeds Arena earlier in the month. They are one of the best live acts I've ever seen, if not the best.
Would love them to headline.
-
Why would the Kooks be above Elbow?
-
Anyone bump into Leighton Baines?
-
I think Emily has her heart set on Led Zep. Probably won't happen though unfortunately. Kashmir going over The Pyramid would be epic.
-
Elton John?
Maybe not popular enough in this country, but Dolly Parton and The Eagles are massive acts.
-
Elton John?
-
Oh God. That'd be magical.
-
Would you like everyone to apologise for you not being able to convey your own thoughts properly? As its clearly our fault.
-
no but you stated it as a fact
-
Who's arsed at what the Guardian think?
Missed the set, will YouTube it during the week.
-
it's not that you have a different opinion, it's that you're saying it's a fact they're a predictable and standard headliner, when they're clearly not, they haven't played in so long, and despite three shit albums, they're an incredible live band, and they sold out emirates, with a record attendance
You're clearly not a fan of their music, and nobody's forcing you to go and see them. I'm sure the thousands of people watching them across the weekend will love it.
-
Don't make such inane statements then.
-
They've lost a lot of fans due to their last album.
Got mostly good reviews, no?
-
your point doesn't make sense. Doesn't matter what they put out after it that isn't all you'll hear.
And Green Day haven't headlined a UK festival since 2004 so jog on with "predictable standard" headliner.
-
what paramore and qotsa getting given the push up in the same year? especially as paramore wasnt on the survey?
Muse and Franz were promoted in the same year in 2006.
Paramore would have probably come up a lot in the 'other' section people had to fill out.
-
you do know you don't go to live acts to see them write an album right?
-
... It doesn't matter if their latest input was shit, it's the old stuff that matters. The latter half of Oasis' albums were shit, Sabbath headlined Download over 15 years since their last album, the list goes on, Uno/Dos/Tre is hardly an argument against them
-
no arctics?
Possibly, instead of mumford.
I'd put money (not a lot) on the other two being headliners.
-
QOTSA, Paramore, Mumford
Is my prediction.

The Stone Roses

Saw an Everton one at one point. This pleased me as I am an Everton fan.
-
green day are amazing live.

How were Tool in 2006? Seemed to have a short set from what I remember (watched on YouTube).

We could have had one huge arena that could have rivalled the MEN, but instead we got a half-decent arena with a conference centre. Waste.
