What the title says really.
Does anyone have any recommendations of good festivals taking place anywhere in Europe during the first two weeks of august?
Have 2 weeks to play with and trying to get a good festival in.

The line up is ridiculously poor compared to usual in fairness.
There's talk of us cancelling because of it.

Do people want to start making recommendations (links to youtube videos) for some of the possibly lesser known bands that you are fans of?
If I'm honest I think that line up is very dissapointing (the stone roses, the pogues, two door cinema club, Placebo and a handful of others are the only real attractions for me), but I've heard great things about the festival, and with a little research I'm sure I'll find enough bands to get excited about.

What's the story with accomodation?
We're thinking of going but are a bit late on the organisation front this year.
I think after a recent city based festival we've decided apartment festivals are the way forward. But what are prices/availability/distance from festival like generally?

Also, I just read in a review there that the queues for the club gigs are a nightmare. How true is this? Would you have to queue even if you arrived early for gigs? That sounds kind of like it might put a dampner on the fun. How did you find it?

Where are you from yourself? Like, do you mean the food/drink is expensive relative to other countries? Or relative to normal Gothengurg prices?
Also, what's this about restricted alcohol areas? How does that work? Sounds kind of wierd.
Would you recommend it as a festival?
We've been to a few other European fests but this one appeals because it's based around the city etc. Seems really cool. Would hope there's a good a buzz around the clubs etc for the stay out west gigs.
Sorry about the questions. Just trying to find out more about it and hoping the festival suits us

Also, does anyone know what the deal is with tickets for the club shows? Is it just your festival ticket or what?
This looks like a great festival but there really is so little info in english online.

Would you have any general advice on the festival regrding accomodation, food, drink etc. There doesn't seem to be much online in English.
Like, is the festival expensive for food and drink etc?What are the crowds like?

Anyone ever been? I had never heard of it to be honest but i like the look of its layout. Seems kind of like Primavera.
Anyone know if more names are likely to be announced?
Previous line ups look stronger if im honest.
Really really like the look of the layout though, based in the city with club shows later on etc.

Yeah Sziget was our plan but the line up (or lack of) is putting some of our group off at the last minute so we're having a look about for others around the same time.
