What is v frustrating is how many tickets are made available to people with a loose connection to the festival / media / industry types. Someone I know is guaranteed a ticket because his friend works for one of those posh off site camping places. One year we managed to sneak into a “vip” (in the loosest sense of the word) area, Dolly Parton was on stage and there was loads of people just sitting inside a tent on their phones, totally uninterested
Far too many hangers on. Just look at the attendance figures, something like 135,000 tickets and over 200,000 people on site.

i havent had a sniff in the last 2 years but managed to get them tonight after 10 mins just refreshing 3 tabs every 10 seconds. Its down to luck in my opinion.
-
i don't mind it because im chuffed to get a ticket ,but £1.50 so i can print off my own ticket is having a laugh
-
ah ok , cheers

i received an email like many of you regarding making payment for the remainder of the ticket balance. My question is what does this mean?
The balance due is £188 (plus a £5 booking fee) per person; plus a £1.50 transaction fee for your e-ticket.
i get the £188 for the ticket and the booking fee ,but whats the £1.50 for and are we going to have to print our tickets ourselves this year?
-
its just plain luck
2010 my mate got me tickets because i didnt have a sniff
2011 got tickets right before they sold out
2013 got tickets in the resale
2014 i had tickets and conformation email by 901am
2015 i didnt have a sniff

I also know another mum friend and she can always go for free her husband runs a theatre company but the don't always play there. I asked her in October and she said she can always go but can't get me tickets. She annoyingly said she wasn't sure if she would though.
I know some people like that. They get easy access or go for free yet don't seem to appreciate it.

Being forever the optimist , then im going to say there'll be more tickets on sale.

Even if I had all the money in the world, I really wouldn't want to be up there in hospitality!
Same here

Tbf if I was spending nine grand on glasto tickets, I'd expect someone else to set the tent up for me.
but thats my point. There shouldn't be a 9 grand option. If you want to go then go and camp with everyone else in the thick of it.

i hate the hospitality side of glasto. If you want to go then go but at least put your own tent up and FFS 9 grand! you could travel around the world for that

Does anyone think there are ever actually any winners to the competitions?
maybe undue scepticism but I have real doubts
a friend of mine won tickets to last years festival , so it does happen and got to be worth a go at entering

Stay positive peeps , todays the day , yesterday was just a test . Well thats what i've been telling myself after the "blink and you miss it" sale of yesterday.

1/100? I'll have some of them odds!
leicester won the league at 5000/1 so 100/1 looks like a dead cert to me

It's been fun guys. Can't see myself ever doing this again tho. Too much time invested for such a disappointing result
Don't give up yet

I would wait for some confirmation from Glasto or See before giving up all hope, even with an increase in popularity/awareness it seems unlikely that the sale time would shorten from 10 or so minutes to seconds in 1 year. Possibly the page was accidently made live?
agree , the page was live for 14 minutes last year

4 days of waiting for 20 seconds of excitement. Sounds like my sex life

i really hope it pisses down for the 5 days so people can experience a proper glastonbury and maybe there'll be a chance of getting a ticket next year
