when big weekend was in maidstone people i know were able to get in just by bribing the stewards for as low as £20 each maybe thats worth a thought, but f**k travelling all the way to carslile and failing.
-
you're my kinda guy.
feeder have been touted, not played for a few years.
jamie t has been touted too, was sub on NME in 09 but didn't play last year as played V so i expect him early-mid main stage this year.
maccabees have played 09 and 10 and were 4th down in 10, so unless they either sub or headline NME (doubtful) we won't see them :'(
foals, main stage i reckon. 3rd on NME last year.
pete doherty. played with libs last year but is he doing solo stuff again? no idea.
hope that helps?!
-
can anyone rule out any of these or give me an idea of their chances of playing, none of them have new albums coming out and all played festivals last year deos this make them unlikely? feeder, jamie t, maccabees, foals and pete doherty.
-
Already posted, but...
-
any news on jamie t or the maccabees? both could play but with no tours coming up also i'm not sure if maccabees new albulm will be finished then.
thanks

Don't really see mumford and suns ever headlining 2010 saw a huge folk comeback which they were seen to have spearheaded i believe its just a short phase which will soon die out, the same with paramore and 'pop-punk' ones for the future, biffy, dizzie, blur, elbow, kasabian (played pretty much everywhere else now)
-
Saw them headline radio 1's big weekend a few years back (don't judge was a free ticket 5 minuites away from my house ) but yeah they were'nt very good tbh wombats, pigeon detectives and pendulum were all better on the day, that was all in a tent so i'd rather they just played low mainstage would make sing along to a few of there better songs cold beer in the sunshine for me that would go down well. i'd definately see them early main as would lots of people IMO but would hardly be anyones weekend highlight.
-
Maccabees played main stage last year and did really well, so for them to go back to nme stage is not going to happen, to say they're going to headline the nme stage is clearly wrong and leads me to doubt anything your source is saying.

I was evicted from site at 12:30 for throwing a few bags of crisps to my friends standing a couple of metres away each bag was caught and eaten, but as i walked on to the main path outside the camp the police violently grabbed me held my arms behind my back and told me i was being evicted for throwing missiles i was not allowed to pick up any belongings. The security then treated me like dirt clearly infuriated by doing nothing wrong i shouted abit where a scottish gaurd swung at me but missed, then the woman filling the eviction form was the most patronising cow i have ever experienced and would not write my answers for not looking her in the eyes to which i protested, she then ironically shouted at me to not be so fcuking rude! once evicted i was forced to spend the night sleeping on a bench it was freezing and all the people leaving the festival seemed to just shout abuse and laugh at me some even soaked me with beer, it was the worst night of my life, the only people that tried to help were drug dealers and another italian criminal lurking outside the festival.
