It seems I am going to my first 2000 Trees this year. I told my girlfriend, I had entered a NHS ballot for tickets on Concert for Carers as I liked a few bands.

I am not really expecting to win but as my partner would not want to camp if I did win, she started looking for hotels just in case I get lucky. I told her what bands I would like to see and mentioned that Thumpasaurus are playing as she is a big fan. Once, I mentioned them she wanted to know how much tickets cost. They are doing the £50 off for weekend tickets and so we got from me casually saying I had entered a draw to booking tickets. I am always entering NHS draws and must have entered over 200 for Concert for Carers and won 16 times, so really thought it unlikely I will win.

When I look at the poster its a case of bands I like and know and go to see or the bulk of it is people I know nothing about. Obviously, if i dont want to become single,so we are going to see Thumpasaurus 😃. Most of the names, I dont have a clue about.

I am a fan of The Gaslight Anthem, Cassette, Empire State Bastard, Crawlers, As December Falls, Dead Pony, Creeper, Frank Turner, Don Broco, Static Dress & Hot Milk.

There are others, I have seen at festivals or in support slots and so am aware of their sound i.e Bob Vylan, The Mysterines, King Nun, Nova Twins, The Pale White, Bears in Trees, & Pet Needs .

I already plan to listen to Hot Mulligan & The Chats as I have heard of them but have not actually heard their tunes.

So, if anyone has any recomendations of who is worth a listen to before going I would be gratful of the advice. There is clearly more on the poster, I dont know then bands I am familar with.

Some of my favourites you haven't mentioned:

Into It. Over It., Spanish Love Songs, Los Campesinos, Manchester Orchestra, Sweet Pill, Blank Atlas, NOBRO, Movements, Cherym

Shouldn't be locked. I'm the creator, and it's core so editable by all.

Edit: yeah just checked and it's editable by anyone (I've time poor at the moment so hopefully someone else can update it)

Ah strange one - I'll try again later 👍

Can anyone update the clashfinder times please?

Think it's been locked to the creator only but I fancied looking earlier so did the below:

Educated guesses have been made for a couple of bands who are also playing Wednesday (as their Wednesday stage shows on the website) but I've based this on where the spaces are.

I've also guessed which stages will clash and haven't really put any thought into the placements / clashes in the Forest as these are so unpredictable.

Yeah Friday is pretty bare bones for me but Thursday is insanely packed and Saturday looking good.

Yeah - same for me. Movements are Thursday on the poster but Friday on the website. The Friday would make it 8 & 8 for the Cave so I'm really hoping that's correct to balance out the Friday a bit. It's actually a great line up for me but way too much condensed into the Thursday evening... Ha!

For anyone looking for some smaller bands, I really recommend:

Into It. Over It., Sweet Pill, Blank Atlas, Cherym, Michael Cera Palin, Single Mothers, unpeople, Every Hell

What makes you say that? Last year had Axiom v Main

They switch it up dependent on the headliners.

So for instance, Better Lovers are less likely to have overlapping fans with Gaslight Anthem than Hot Mulligan are...

I think they'll put Empire State Bastard up against The Chats & Wargasm up against Don Broco (potential for shared fanbase there, but the same with Creeper). So I think they'll do the Cave v Main all three nights too...

  6. Some predictions (/hopes) for the announcement (I don't think we'll get the final headliner yet)...

Los Campesinos!, The Menzingers, Drug Church, Bleed From Within, Stray From The Path, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Bilmuri, The Callous Daoboys, Dying Wish, Gel, King Prawn, The Subways, Speed, Tellison

  7. SLEEP TOKEN, A Day to Remember, Spiritbox, Papa Roach, Creed

    Tenacious D, Dropkick Murphys

    Taking Back Sunday

    Dillinger Escape Plan

BLINK 182, Architects, Turnstile, Neck Deep, Knocked Loose

    Bullet for my Valentine, Mastodon

    Denzel Curry

    Power Trip

IRON MAIDEN, Slayer, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Coheed and Cambria

    Incubus, Pierce The Veil

    New Found Glory

    Primus

  9. The Chats is a bizarre headliner but I very rarely watch the Trees headliners and it's certainly not what sells me my ticket. Cracking announcement in terms of undercard and a huge amount of bands I don't know which is only ever a good thing at Trees as my music taste often ends up being shaped by their line up nowadays...

Into It. Over It. are my dream Trees booking!

I also don’t think we’re getting a headliner this month, mid February I think they will get their own announcement

Yeah that's definitely possible! And I agree that the above is too strong altogether - it's a combination of wishful thinking and listing a pool of bands who are around/suitable/unavailable. I'm sure we won't get all of them...

  11. Announcement predictions? I've had a look at other festival announcements and I'm thinking:

Sleep Token, The Menzingers, Viagra Boys, Thursday, Zeal & Ardor, Nova Twins, Loathe, Hot Milk, HEALTH, Spanish Love Songs, Bleed From Within, Drug Church, Skynd, Guilt Trip, Soccer Mommy, Gel, Movements, Static Dress, Bad Nerves, Calva Louise, Mannequin Pussy, Sweet Pill, Bodyweb, Blood Command, Swim School, Mother Vulture, ZAND, Knife Bride, Bambie Thug

  12. There was quite a bit of crossover with Outbreak last year (and already some this year with Hot Mulligan / Gouge Away) so thinking/hoping we might get the likes of:

    Balance and Composure

    The Hotelier

    Movements

    Touche Amore

    Soccer Mommy

    TWIABP

    Mannequin Pussy

    Sweet Pill

  13. MAIN

    AXIOM
    Hot Mulligan
    Lonely The Brave
    Static Dress

    CAVE
    Better Lovers
    Incendiary
    Gel

    MAIN
    Alkaline Trio
    The Blackout
    Nova Twins

    AXIOM
    The Story So Far
    Hot Milk
    The Mysterines

    CAVE
    Alpha Wolf
    Drug Church
    Crystal Lake

    MAIN
    Sleep Token
    Basement
    Silverstein

    AXIOM
    Creeper
    Citizen
    Spanish Love Songs

  14. Final Prediction:

    Fred Again, Phoebe Bridgers, PinkPantheress

    Blink 182, Yungblud, Limp Bizkit

Liam Gallagher, Two Door Cinema Club, Kenya Grace

    Paramore, Blossoms, Maisie Peters

Gerry Cinnamon, Chase & Status, The Libertines

    The Prodigy, ArrDee, Raye

  15. Blink 182, Yungblud, Limp Bizkit, Ashnikko, CMAT, Circa Waves, The Story So Far

Doja Cat, Aitch, PinkPantheress, The Reytons, Kenya Grace, Cat Burns, The View
