Got mine + earlybird from Ticketmaster this morning! Properly excited now

All Time Low, Paramore, Forever the Sickest Kids, Panic! at the disco, Fall out boy to name a few cite blink as direct reasons why they do what they do. Panic! started as a blink cover band in fact.

I haven't read all of this but I feel I should try and defend them a bit, being a fan.
Before the hiatus they were known for banging through songs live as fast as possible, which with Tom's poor (at the time) guitar skills meant many mistakes and a poor show. Even then anyone will tell you they were awesome live, they were voted best live band in some magazine at one point.
For me, their best album is their untitled 2003 album. The older stuff is nostalgic and pretty good pop-rock without doubt, but their last album was so mature and much much much better in my opinion than anything else they have put out. Alot of people who don't like blink have never heard it (except I Miss You which doesn't really help) and so dismiss it straight up.
Since the hiatus they have actually rehearsed (they never used to) and Tom's guitar skills have come on ALOT. It's unrecognisable and I am confident they will play a blinder of a show.
Overall, I would ask the non-fans to listen to the Untitled album (on spotify if you don't wanna buy it) with an open mind, and I promise it will change your mind about them.
Having said that, All The Small Things will have the biggest singalong of the festval.

their myspace already has them booked on 2 out of the 3 reading/leeds days as playing other shows.. unless i am looking at another EELS..

Sum41 for Saturday at Reading
would complete my weekend
-
The recent blink tour had Dumpweed as an opener which is perfect
-
Really want them to play dstryr & dstryr. Other than that i'll be happy with any songs
-
I follow blink quite closely, they are announced now - On their facebook and through their pick-r-set page (both official) They also announced a show in Dublin.
Quite gutted they are the last announced dates, I wanted to see them a couple times whilst they were over here.
-
I'd like to see 30STM somewhere, looking at last year the further announced bands were below the originally announced bands so maybe that could be a factor in who we see.
Love to see fightstar again or charlie simpsons new accoustic solo stuff, MCS seems a given, Sum41 would be pretty sweet. Big Elliot Minor fan so would like to see them on there somewhere.

got my reading ticket from ticketmaster, my confirmation was instant
-
The traffic is good for the website

I wouldn't mind them headlining, its one of those 'going just to go' bands for me, I'll watch them because its them not because i like them as such
-
I'm bricking it tbh, missed out last year. REALLY need to go this year!
-
You didn't try for long enough. It took me nearly 2 hours.

I tried getting tickets last year for Reading, tried for half an hour and still didn't manage to get any. Was fairly gutted! Really hoping to get some this year, if anyone has any 'tips' etc as to getting through on ticket day it'd be greatly appreciated!

I'm assured that last year they opened much earlier than it said on the tickets, so we'll be there from mid-day
