  1. :P

I don't think anyone is implying that there will be 10,000 people raving in the car parks. Surely though folk are goin to have beer flowing and music playin.

The reason I'm going on Tuesday is to avoid that Mother of all jams that occured last year! 14 hours it took me on the Wednesay, not again.

After all, that is the reason why the car parks are opening early.

  2. I am planning to roll into the car park on Tuesday night/Wednesday

    morning.

The Tuesday night parking is a new and welcome initiative to avoid congestion on the road that has blighted previous journeys to Glasto.

But am I alone in thinking that this is a perfect opportunity for an impromptu party in the carpark fields. Let's face it, there are a few hours to kill, and do you really think that you will be able to sleep in the car, with all the excitement building and the expectation of what Wednesday will bring?

I know you are meant to stay in your car blah, blah, blah, but what a great way to meet fellow glasto'ers by pumping up the car stereos, crack open the beer, etc and get mingling before the trek to the entrance gates!

    Who's with me?

  3. Ok, excellent thread.

New to the forum and recently separated (well 9 months now). Was with my Lady for 12 years from the age of 20.

Looking to meet some fun people at Glasto this year! Just like I do every year.

    sex: male

Preferred fun with Boys or Girls: Girls

    Age: 32

Ideal date at Glastonbury: Naked Mud Wrestle! :P Party all day and night and then see the sun rise! (it will be sunny)

Looking for: good friends from both genders and obviously a fun girl who can party hard for 5 days and nights and remain sane..they can look after me then.. :P

Fave tipple: lager, red wine, Rattler (Cornish folk know)

Fave style of music to boogy to: Dance but love all music..I Love it all!!

Other interests other than Glastonbury: music, gigs, learning to play guitar, going to the gym (with my new found spare time), Love cinema (don't really watch TV except for a couple of programmes), other Festivals!

  4. Yeah booked my coach ticket day after the Glasto tix came on sale.

I'd have looked into car sharing if I'd thought about it before spending £51.50 on transport :P

That's some big fontage you're sporting there!

I'm getting the coach there from Notts (National express). I'm going on my own as well.

By the way you are joking when you say "14 hour journey" aren't you?? :P

  5. Hi everyone,

2010 will be my 4th Glasto. Recenty separated from the Mrs and my mate has dropped out today due to credit issues! I'm a little apprehensive about going solo this year but I know I would regret it if I didn't.

Im hoping to meet some fantastic people as I did last year. Infact last year I spent more time with the friends I made on the bus, the infamous 14 hr journey gave perfect opportunity to get wasted with 50 fellow Glastoers.

Despite that fact, it is daunting and it would be great to meet up with some other folk.

    :P

Im travelling from Nottingham by Coach if anyone else is heading down on the bus give me a buzz.
