  1. In no order from Reading:

    - System Of A Down.

    - Biffy Clyro

    - Bring Me The Horizon

    - Fall Out Boy

    - Green Day

    - New Found Glory - hearing Sticks & Stones was special, although I think it would of gone down better if they did a lock-up set with this.

    - Funeral For A Friend

    - Crossfaith - Amazing energy live.

    - Skindred

    - Frank Turner

  2. The only band i want to see on the saturday at reading is Billy Talent.

Wanted Rancid to play, but again it looks unlikely this year.

    Also, Paramore just updated their facebook status;

Paramore have been announced as one of the headliners for the 2012 Reading and Leeds festivals alongside

    The Cure

    .

Surely that is just a typo?

  3. Awesome set of headliners in my opinion.

Will definatly be seeing Foo Fighters and The Cure and although i can appreciate Kasabian as a headliner, they are not really my cup of tea so i'm hoping for something on NME/Lockup.

Just out of interest, do we think Lockup will be on Kasabian and The Cure days?

  4. How I see it is most of the big european festivals have been announced with no soad, green day etc etc. Would they come over to do one uk festival and miss out europe? No.

So its best to look at bands who are doing the circuit like bloc party, florence and have pearl jam been ruled out? Doing euro fests but no uk date yet.

  5. They should just get someone like Duran Duran, imagine the singalongs. :sarcastic:

But on a serious note, we have 2 weeks til the announcement and it's quite exciting not knowing who the 3rd headliner will be. I rarely see any of the headliners anyway so i'm just hoping for the lineup on a whole to be good.

  6. I'm going say it will be Green Day. They last played before American Idiot was released and they are currently recording their new album.

I doubt they would announce an arena tour without the new album released. They are playing a festival in August in Japan, which they also did last time they played Reading and probably just want to play some shows to get out of the studio.

  7. I was watching Sky News the other day and they were interviewing Dave Rowntree from Blur about EMI being sold and how it would impact the band. Anyway, towards the end of the interview, the presenter asked him if Blur had any plans for next year. He replied along the lines of 'we are hoping to make some announcements soon, but things always change so i can't tell you at the moment'

Might not be anything, but you never know!
