In no order from Reading:
- System Of A Down.
- Biffy Clyro
- Bring Me The Horizon
- Fall Out Boy
- Green Day
- New Found Glory - hearing Sticks & Stones was special, although I think it would of gone down better if they did a lock-up set with this.
- Funeral For A Friend
- Crossfaith - Amazing energy live.
- Skindred

Ready for Leeds and Reading.....Band practice #dookie
Until it happens, I won't believe it..
-
Who was it that said Yellowcard were apparently playing?
Reckon there's still anywhere they could fit on the bill?
-
Reading Festival just posted on twitter:
'Getting loads of tweets about this - we can confirm that @Alkaline_Trio and @GreenDay will NOT clash..'
https://twitter.com/OfficialRandL/status/327714203932692482
This makes me very happy.

The Living End announced dates in Germany yesterday which are a few days after Reading.
Hopefully they will be playing.

@markhoppus
PEOPLE OF THE UK: tonight, listen to @zanelowe to hear the debut of "Boxing Day," a song by a band called blink-182. thank you.
Although i would love Blink 182 to headline again, it's only been 3 years. Won't happen.
-
I'm hoping for Yellowcard to be added to the NME on the saturday. They are playing in Germany a week before Reading, so maybe.
-
I could see You Me At Six headlining someday after another couple of albums if they do well.
-
So it seems the lockup stage is going to be friday and sunday at reading, which is disappointing
The only band i want to see on the saturday so far is Billy Talent. Any recommendations?

The only band i want to see on the saturday at reading is Billy Talent.
Wanted Rancid to play, but again it looks unlikely this year.
Also, Paramore just updated their facebook status;
Paramore have been announced as one of the headliners for the 2012 Reading and Leeds festivals alongside
.
Surely that is just a typo?
-
they were rubbish in '10 but they didn't have enough time in my opinion.
-
Transplants should make an appearance.
-
Would love to see Yellowcard, Rancid, Four Year Strong, Sum 41, The Wonder Years, Anti-Flag and Alkaline Trio appear over the weekend.
-
Awesome set of headliners in my opinion.
Will definatly be seeing Foo Fighters and The Cure and although i can appreciate Kasabian as a headliner, they are not really my cup of tea so i'm hoping for something on NME/Lockup.
Just out of interest, do we think Lockup will be on Kasabian and The Cure days?
-
Right now i want The Cure to headline but i can see it will be Florence.
She is more popular with the average reading and leeds festival goer right now.
-
I love how one bit of news about Green Day changes everyones perspective on the rumoured headliners. Let's not get carried away though. It's all rumours at the moment, anything could happen.
-
How I see it is most of the big european festivals have been announced with no soad, green day etc etc. Would they come over to do one uk festival and miss out europe? No.
So its best to look at bands who are doing the circuit like bloc party, florence and have pearl jam been ruled out? Doing euro fests but no uk date yet.
-
They should just get someone like Duran Duran, imagine the singalongs.
But on a serious note, we have 2 weeks til the announcement and it's quite exciting not knowing who the 3rd headliner will be. I rarely see any of the headliners anyway so i'm just hoping for the lineup on a whole to be good.
-
I'm going say it will be Green Day. They last played before American Idiot was released and they are currently recording their new album.
I doubt they would announce an arena tour without the new album released. They are playing a festival in August in Japan, which they also did last time they played Reading and probably just want to play some shows to get out of the studio.
-
Has this been debunked yet? I can't find any discussion on it.

2012
in Sonisphere
Seetickets just posted this on twitter:
Just been talking to our friends at Sonisphere. Excited about their plans for this year. Watch this space! Excited Face.
-
Green Day have been confirmed to play Summer Sonic in Japan in August, last time they played there was in 2004, also the same year they played Reading and Leeds.
Just before they released American Idiot too.
-
Part of me thinks Yellowcard could headline or at least play second.
-
I was watching Sky News the other day and they were interviewing Dave Rowntree from Blur about EMI being sold and how it would impact the band. Anyway, towards the end of the interview, the presenter asked him if Blur had any plans for next year. He replied along the lines of 'we are hoping to make some announcements soon, but things always change so i can't tell you at the moment'
Might not be anything, but you never know!
