  1. I was working for Oxfam (orange tabards) on White Gate scanning tickets on Thursday morning and Ladies toilets near the Main Stage Friday night and Saturday morning, enjoyed all the 'Oxfam being sent into Reading toilets because its a natural disaster' jokes. Sorry to all the men desperate for a wee who I couldn't let into the women's toilets, glad only a very small minority tried to have an argument over the fact I was just doing my job.

  2. I applied and was accepted to steward back in February but now I've seen on the website we should have been sent our shifts etc it says: If you wish to be placed on the reserve list, or havent heard about your shifts, please contact our steward manager Sue on info@wickedevents.co.uk

Has anyone else heard about their shifts? Seems a bit early but I am used to Oxfam and being told when you turn up. I've sent an email off to that address too but haven't heard back.

  3. For instance... some people are parents (and bloody good ones too) at 15, would you stop/check a 15 y/o girl who walked through your gates with a young baby and tell her she could not come in as she wasn't an adult (but she is a mother whom is responible for another persons life)? Do you see that life throws up shit, and we all deal with it, but what we can't do is label...

  4. In all my life i have never heard so many narrow minded people. I mean come on. Who made all of you god!

Jesus christ you're saying things like "if i let a 15 y/o in and he did drugs and died then it's my fault" WRONG. Its the fault of the person who takes the drug. You as a steward at the gate are not GOD...

  5. I was working wristbanding at the west carparks, hope i brightened a few people's wait to be searched by security.

Managed to finish my shifts by 4 on the Friday (managed a 8 hour on 6 hours off 8 hours on) so had the whole weekend free but by Sunday eve I was sooo tired and the rain just killed it for me so headed home at about 6. This was my first working festival and it won't be my last!

Hope you all liked your wristbands in the end, even if we did get some people who looked like their world had ended when they didn't have a bit of metal holding it together.
