DF @ Wickerman - news to me.

As a Scottish person that lives next door to Cumbria (about 20 miles away), I find that article...hilarious.

Just in case anybody was wondering why Wickerman's not in any of the categories...
From The Wickerman Festival website:
Festival Awards 2010
In previous years the Wickerman has benefited from huge public support which has seen us pick up a Grass Roots gong and make many shortlists at the annual Festival Awards. For 2010 we are concentrating our efforts at this time on our links with the forthcoming Lake of Stars festival in Malawi and are also discussing a variety of ideas to mark the Wickerman's 10th anniversary.
Last but by no means least we are also gearing for the 2011 ticket sale launch where a very special offer awaits every 10th ticket buyer.
Tickets for the 2011 Wickerman go on sale at Halloween so keep checking back for details of our very special offer.

This reminds me of the good old Skiddle-forum days.

Thank you Paul.* Shame you wont be at Wickerman. Stay golden pony boy!
*To be fair, the nomination/payment thing, that's actually wrong. Can't be bothered going into it, the sun's out, my lawn need's done, and that ipod wont update itself.

It's a very family friendly festival. A lot of my friends take their kids. It's also regularly nominated in the 'best family festival' category at the Festival Awards.

The Solus Tent: if all goes to plan, Friday April 2nd.

I do love the squirts. damn fine bit of no-need-for-a-tent fun!
-
Nope, I'm still sorting Solus. But it is coming together very very nicely.
(Teenage Fanclub would also do it for me Treacle )
-
Howdy Paul. Should you not be causing some trub on the Skiddle forum?
-
Hi Treacle. Solus is shaping up very very nicely, thank you for asking. Yeah, the rumour about the site moving, it happens every year. There's always some good rumours floating about. People only need to look at the festival website to see that the location is exactly the same as ever.
Ta,
C.

Moving? Nope.
TRNSMT Lineup 2019
in other UK festivals
Posted
Yes. But why repeat the exercise of others and risk it when one-dayers are best for larger scale music events, or a series of gigs like Regular's Summer Night. TRNSMT is perfect for Glasgow as a non-camping 3-dayer. I know it's unpopular to say, but for its target audience, on the day, it is a good line-up. It does nothing for me, but I'm not that audience.
