Zimfest 2010

Zimfest is an event that brings together Zimbabweans from across the cultural spectrum and welcomes non-Zimbabweans who are mad about Zimbabwe. This is the tenth anniversary of the event and is due to run in London on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd September 2010. The outdoor event on the Saturday has been cancelled.

In London Zimfest includes a conneqtfest a Technology and Business event to compliment Zimfest, and a benefit concert at the Clapham Grand in South London on Friday 3rd September.

Zimfest Connect: A Charity, Social enterprise and Business networking event. Featuring: Henry Olonga world renowned cricketer, Knox Chitiyo current Chair of the Britain Zimbabwe Society.
Zimbabwe Rocks: Celebrating Zimbabwean Music. Featuring: Chiwoniso, Mann Friday, Tinashe, Bkay and Kazz, Jusa Dementor, and more.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.

Zimfest has sister events in Perth, Capetown, and Bulawayo.

Charity

All proceeds go to charity, (www.wezimbabwe.org) and most of the people involved do it for free.
