Weyfest 2008


'WEYFEST' is held at The Rural Life Centre, Farnham. This beautiful 10-acre site is home to around 40,000 artefacts of village life from 1800 - 1960 housed in reconstructed historic buildings amongst field and woodland, including an arboretum of over 100 tree species from around the world.

Over the many years the festival has been running it has raised thousands of pounds for many charities despite the fact that the numbers attending had to be restricted because it was held in the grounds of various local pubs. The festival welcomes the opportunity to make this year's festival a much larger and longer event.

Bands announced so far include Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, Dave Edmunds, Rockpile, The Pirates, The Wildcards, The Beat, The Hamsters, Chas and Dave, Jackie Lynton Band, John Otway, Leatherat, Splodgenessabounds, True Deceivers, Rob McCulloch, Anna Ryder, Chris Conway & Dan Britton, Dayglo Pirates, Bob Kerr's Whooppee Band, Angela Brown & Mighty 45's, and Ric Sanders with a further line-up of acts on the acoustic stage. The festival is run over two days with two outdoor stages plus an indoor acoustic stage. There's also workshops, and on-site camping.

Apart from the music and museum attractions there will local crafts and stalls plus beer and food tents.

Tickets are on sale priced as follows: adult (16+) weekend £60, day tickets £35 and camping £10; under 16's weekend £25, day tickets £15 and camping £5; under 5s are free, Disabled: Carer Free of Charge. To buy tickets online click here.
