Unsound Festival 2010


The Unsound Festival brings experimental and electronic artists to Krakow, Poland for a week from Sunday 17th until Sunday 24th October.

Line-up

Wildbirds & Peacedrums, Octava Ensemble, Mice Parade, Laetitię Sadier, Silje Nes, Petre Insperescu (Pedro), Mike Huckaby, Dorian Concept, Terror Danjah, Eleven Tigers, Supra1, Lustmord, Ben Frost + Daniel Bjarnason with Sinfonietta Cracovia, Emeralds, Elegi, Lindstrom, Kyle Hall, Mount Kimbie, Demdike Stare, Goblin, Falty DL & Cosmin TRG play a joint live set, Joy Orbison, James Blake, Zombie Zombie will perform the songs of John Carpenter, Mortiz von Oswald Trio, Kreng, Sasu Ripatti, Max Loderbauer, Oni Ayhun, Tim Hecker, Oneohtrix Point Never, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Shining, Monno, Mordant Music, Shackleton, and Actress. With more acts still to be confirmed.

The festival will also include a preview of 'The Pretty One', a neo-gothic ghost story on the thin line between concert, film and performance.

Several art works are commissioned especially for this year's festival.

Tickets

A pass to all events is expected to be priced at approximately £35, although prices are not yet confirmed and tickets are not on sale yet.

Theme

This year the festival's theme is 'Horror'. The festival will explore the way that music and sound interact with visual images in horror films, and present artists inspired by horror film music. Other artists will perform music that causes feelings of fear or disquiet.

Accommodation

The festival has no camping and there are various different types of accommodation on offer in Krakow.
