Tropical Pressure Festival 2014


Tropical Pressure Festival is a brand new festival happening on the North Cornish coast at Porthtowan's Mount Pleasant Eco Park from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July 2014.

Line-up

Friday's programme is dedicated to Latin America, Saturday inspired by the Caribbean, and Sunday devoted to all things African.

Headlining the bill will be Dub Colossus. Other confirmed artists include WARA & Los Charley's Orchestra (Friday), Macka B & Rasites (Saturday), Joe & Sekou, Donso, United Vibration and Nubiyan Twist (Sunday), with more guests to be announced in the coming weeks.

Adult tickets, which include camping, are priced from £45 to £60, with children under 15 half price and Under 5's free. Every ticket includes free transport to and from Redruth Train station.

The 42-acre Ecological Park on the north coast of Cornwall is both a World Heritage site and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, join them to celebrate their 10th birthday with Tropical Pressure Festival: a 3 day event of World music, food, dance and culture.

Please note the festival will be 100% vegetarian with a World Street Food Market offering delicious, freshly prepared food from around the globe.

The main stage music line-up will be complemented by a locally programmed Acoustic Stage, free singing, craft, drumming and dance workshops, World Music Film screenings, Kids' activity area, Chill out and meditation areas, Starry Skies Storytelling in the venue's stunning Cob Courtyard, and late night tunes in the converted Barn.
