A community arts festival opening up with a Grand Parade from from De Valence Pavillion at 11am with street entertainers invading the town en route to the harbour for the Grand Opening of the Festival by the Mayor of Tenby. This will be followed by an afternoon of free entertainment in the town, with dancers, music and other fun spectacles.
As well as theatrical and literary events and Sand Sculpture building on the beach on Sunday 24th September, there's a classical or contemporary music event every day starting with a Young Bands Night at the De Valence Pavilion on Saturday from 8pm - 1am.
Later in the week there's the Upbeat Beatles, a tribute band on Friday 29th at the Follies Theatre and the Memphis Seven jazz band on Saturday 30th at the Giltar Hotel at 10pm. Classical and other more traditional music events include a night with the Pembroke & District Male Choir (Tuesday), and Tenby's Male Choir (Thursday) plus a Celebration of Ian Parrott's 90th Birthday with John Turner on recorder accompanied by The Manchester Camerata Ensemble on Saturday 23rd at St Mary's Church.
