Surplus Fest 2015


The 2nd annual Surplus Fest is set to take place from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July 2015 and is billed as a celebration of underground music, art and culture held at Porthkerry Leisure Park, Rhoose, in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Set in a field right on the coast of South Wales, with beach access for those festival goers that like a dip in the sunny afternoons this festival will be a family friendly event with plenty to do for families throughout the day! Kid’s area will be run by the Hive where kids can have a go at Crafts, Art, Circus workshops and loads more.

There will also be workshops for adults including foraging, woodwork and metal work. Fire shows, a Fire pit, a healing area with various treatments available, traders with festival clothing, hats and jewellery, and loads more.

Surplus is a dog friendly event, as long as they’re kept on a lead. A small donation will be asked for from dog owners which will be donated to a local charity.

This is a green festival, there will be recycling, solar power on site, and upcycling. There are food venues for all tastes including meat, vegan and vegetarian, and the bar will be selling various local Ales and Ciders..
