Southsea Folk & Roots Festival 2009


The ninth annual Southsea Folk Roots & Blues Festival takes place from Friday 28th until Monday 31st August 2009 and will feature live music on South Parade Pier and at local pubs.

Acts confirmed include ColvinQuarmby, Sons of the Delta, Bemis, Mary Jane, Billy Irvine, Robin James Hurt, Shep Woolley, Amy Wadge, Martyn Joseph, Ade Cull, Cruel Folk, Dan Ogus, Shep Woolley, Two Fingers of Firewater, Jackie Leven, The Bad Shepherds, Stompin' Dave Allen, Andy Grant, Andy Broad, Jelly Rollers, Sally Strawberry, Kris Dollimore, The Deborah Bonham Band, White Knuckles Blues Band, Andy Broad's Blues Jam, and Robin James Hurt.

There will be free admission to live music on the Pier on the afternoons of Saturday, Sunday and Monday over the Bank Holiday weekend. Evening concerts will be held on the Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
