Soundwave Festival 2003

The Soundwave festival is now in its third year. Young bands from the surrounding area, as well as a guest headline act, play a whole range of music from Goth Metal to Urban beats and grooves.

This is a festival which is 'for young people by young people' - that is, a day organised by those taking part and performing. According to their website, over 1,000 people attended last year.
