The Small Nations Festival 2006

Known in Welsh as 'Gwyl y Cenhedloedd Bychan', this is a multilingual celebration of the music of Wales alongside that of other small nations. Set on a farm near a small village, this festival celebrates minority cultures and languages and the universal language of music in all its forms.

A wide range of music is represented including Irish, electronica, bhangra, Afro-beats, flamenco, samba, techno and twmpathhas. This year's line-up is as follows:
Friday - Bisserov Sisters; Buddug Verona James; DJ Eugene; Evi Vine; Justin Vali; Moon in Rising DJs; Mordekkers; Moya; and Triad.
Saturday - Amigos; Amir G; Bob Delyn A'r Ebillion; Broken Sleep; Dylan Fowler; Fflur Dafydd; Genod Droog; Ioan Pop; Jack White; Jazzy African; Nik Turner's Galakticos; Molara; Mooli; Nuru Kane; Rattlin Bog; Sera Rabett; Sendelica; Sild; Staedler and Waldorf; Steintryggur; Tim Tyson; Trimsound; Leif & Tom.
Sunday - Cantorion Tywi; Celsain; Chimanimani; Earthdoctor; Ember; Everyone Else But Burt; Moishe's Bagel; Pat Grover's Blue Zeros; Reverb; and Sunrise.

There are also children's workshops, a DJ stage, an idea which evolved from the success of the Kidzone tent. Kidzone itself operates as a workshop and chill out area. There's some serious DJ music plus new and experimental sounds.

There are also stalls, food and a bar between the stages which are housed in a very large barn, big enough, the organisers claim, to hold a thousand people. If the weather is fine the doors will be folded back although everything will be undercover just in case!

Camping and campervans are welcome at a extra small charge. Cars have to be parked away from the tents.
