In 2010 UpRise Anti-Racism Music Festival was born out of the ashes of the former Rise Festival which was Europe's largest anti-racist festival and it's FREE. The event is backed by the Trades Union Congress, National Assembly Against Racism and diverse community organisations.

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, shut down the Rise: London United Against Racism Festival after 2010.
