The dates for the 90,000 capacity Reading Festival are confirmed as on the bank holiday weekend, from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th August 2016 at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire.

Line-up

There will be five headliners across three days with Foals, and Disclosure co-headlining, so will Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Biffy Clyro and Fall Out Boy. Tickets

All ticket options have sold out. Weekend tickets were priced at £205. A Wednesday early entry permit was priced at £20, a campervan pass was £75, and a locker was priced at £16, and a car park pass is for Reading was priced at £10. Prices do not include booking fees.

Day tickets were priced at £59.50.

The instalment plan was back for 2016 offering the chance to secure a Reading Festival ticket for £58, with the balance of the ticket paid off over the next three months.

Children under 13 (12 and under) are admitted free but MUST be accompanied by a ticket holding adult. Please note there is no separate children's area at this event, and eFestivals considers this an event not really suitable for small children.

Note: Tickets will not be on sale at the gate. There will be no box office of any kind. All tickets will be sent out to customers. Overseas customers will need to pick up tickets from The Hexagon.

Disabled info

Festival Republic produces a guide to Disabled Access and Facilities for all it's festivals, which includes details of the 2-for-1 ticket scheme. Please request a booklet and application form on 020 8961 5490. For disabled attendees, the 2 for 1 scheme will open in the Spring. To be eligible for the scheme, you will need to buy your own ticket in advance. You will need your booking reference number in order to apply for a free ticket for a carer or PA. Further information including all conditions of the scheme will be on the website from Spring 2016 and the application form for the 2 for 1 scheme will be available then too.

Conditions for camping

No aerosols (over 250ml) or gas canisters. Those wanting to cook need to bring disposable BBQs, trangias or solid fuel stoves. Anyone seen with canisters or cylinders will be ejected from site. The caravan and campervan ticket holders in white campervan field only will be permitted to bring in gas containers up to the limit of 3kg.

Only small, clean, campfires only are allowed in the campsites they must be kept below knee height and less than one pace wide. They will be monitored and extinguished if otherwise. A new policy started last year is expected to be reintroduced this year whch means that ALL campfires will be extinguished after 8pm on Sunday. There will be a firewood trader onsite to buy clean wood for your small campfires - clean firewood will be on sale until 6pm Sunday evening.

Once again this year no flags will be allowed to be taken into the festival arena, as they obstruct the view of people behind.

Campsite

There will be an on site supermarket can be found near the arena entrance in the Village. It will sell convenience foods, snacks, pies/pasties, chilled drinks, fresh daily bread and milk, newspapers, beer/lager/cider, toiletries, pharmacy, general grocery, fresh sliced meats, bacon, sausage, butter and cheeses, deli counter, and cigarettes. The supermarket will offer a card payment facility (minimum purchase £5) with cashback. Other on site facilities include: Bars, Cash Points, First Aid & Paramedics, Food & Non Food Stalls, Information.
