Pewsey Music Festival 2008

Pewsey Music Festival was launched last year to celebrate music with a diverse range of acts from Wiltshire and the world beyond. The festival is set in the Pewsey Vale behind the historic Cooper's Arms with Pewsey's White Horse providing the backdrop, and takes place on Saturday 16th August 2008, from 12 noon until 12 midnight.

Confirmed acts so far are Who tribute band Who's Next?, The Mentalists, The Prelude, The Operation, Detlef Zoo, Men and Gods, Halagoogoo and Jon Amor. As well as bands from SW England, Pewsey Music Festival will be showcasing international talent thanks to their partnership with Sonic Bids. Almost 80 international acts, from as far afield as Brazil and Turkey, have registered their eagerness to play at Pewsey, with one more act still to be announced.

There will be two pig roasts, and a barbecue with vegetarian options, plus various other stalls.

Tickets will cost £10 in advance or £12 on the day. Tickets will be available from 1st June, from: Sound Knowledge, Hughenden Yard, Marlborough, Wilts; Devizes Books, Devizes, Wilts; Wessex Print Centre, High Street, Pewsey, Wilts; The Cooper’s Arms, Ball Rd, Pewsey; and The Greyhound, North Street, Pewsey.

There are campsites nearby. More information will be here when available.
