The first FREE Parbold Street Festival took place in 2015 over the two days of the festival, 14 different venues around the village host mini events, from a beer festival, Lancashire Society exhibition, Big Stage with both local and nationally acclaimed performers to Continental Area, Market Place and Duck Race on the canal.
Using an Arts Council grant, the Legend of Parbold Hill (a local and famous landmark) was created involving schools and community groups attending creative workshops and writing sessions and so the The Dragon that lives under the Hill was born.
