Now We Are Weekender 2012


Now We Are Weekender is a new two day independent music festival celebrating the thrills, spills and bellyaches of indie-pop 'n rock.

Organised by London based Funny Looking Cat, who started out as a stage hands at Indietracks, the Easter weekend mini-festival takes place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th April 2012 at The Public, New Street, West Bromwich.

Line-up

Headliners are Misty's Big Adventure and Art Brut, with Abdoujaparov (Ex Carter USM man Les Carter's new band), Among Brothers, The Wild Mercury Sound, Masters in France, Bleech, Toy Horses, The Indelicates, and The Lovely Eggs also confirmed. No other acts are announced, in total 32 bands and 3 DJs on 2 stages over 2 days and including local acts from across the West Midlands including Young Runaways, Circus Town, Dakota Beats, One Sixth of Tommy, God Damn, and Silver Souvenirs.

Tickets

Weekend tickets will be priced at £15 (Children under 13, £5, under 5s, free), with individual day tickets £10. A limited number of early bird weekend tickets are on sale at 9am on Friday 27th January for the price of a day ticket (£10). To buy tickets, click here.

The two day event will also include a fascinating array of handcrafted merchandise stalls and family friendly workshops for all ages to enjoy, and will also feature DJs from the UK indie club circuit spinning tracks in to the early hours, for festival goers determined to dust off their dancing shoes.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
