It has been decided by the organisers that Newark Blues Festival will not take place in 2017. They hope to be back in 2018.
The Newark Blues Festival is organised and staged by a group of volunteer musicians and music enthusiasts on a not for profit basis with the intention of it becoming an established annual event, growing and improving each year. Started in 2009, and having taken a year out in 2014, the annual event takes place over a weekend in September with top national blues artists performing, as well as established local bands, upwards of thirty-five acts playing over the weekend at Newark Castle Gardens, and venues around Newark in Nottinghamshire.
