Started in 2003 as 'music on the meadow - a party for Larry' where local villagers and the community came together for the first-ever large-scale outdoor music event to be held at Court Meadow in Mayfield, on the High Weald in East Sussex.
The 12 hour music festival proved popular, with over 3,500 attendees enjoying a wide and varied programme of entertainers and musicians. Building on the success the event the organisers, all voluntary trustees presented progressively more comprehensive and varied events for the local community, and when it was last held in 2011 it attracted nearly 5,000 people.
