The 16th annual Mouth of the Tyne Festival takes place with the main shows taking place in the surroundings of Tynemouth Priory and Castle from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th July 2020 .

The main outdoor stage is situated on a coastal cliff location, adjacent to the Tynemouth Priory and Castle, overlooking the King Edward’s Bay beach and North Sea on one side, and the River Tyne on the other.

Line-up

The main shows are at Tynemouth Priory and Castle, as follows:-
Thursday 9th July: to be announced
Friday 10th July: Keane, plus special guests Cattle & Cane, and Eliza Shaddad (£45)
Saturday 11th July: The Lighthouse Family, plus special guests PP Arnold, and Georgie (£35)
Sunday 12th July: to be announced

Also at Playhouse Whitley Bay:-
Monday 6th July: John Cooper Clarke (£?)
Wednesday 8th July: Saving Grace feat. Suzi Dian And Robert Plant, with Catfish Keith

The festival will also feature a free programme of events including international street entertainment, live jazz music and a children’s pageant.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
