MK4U is a youth orientated festival, ran by young people, and aimed at young people.
The festival runs from Saturday July 7th to Sunday July 8th, starting at 2pm and coming to a close at 9pm on both days. The event is now in its second year, and promises a range of activities.
There will be 2 main stages with local bands, djs, performers, and dance workshops. In the sports area there will be football, power kites, and a rock climbing wall. There will also be circus skills, bungee challenge, play area, food area, stalls, bubble tent, henna tattoos, poetry, open mic, and a range of art workshops and displays.
The festival is FREE, and is supported by the Parks Trust, the Art Gallery, the Play Association, MK Theatre, Stantonbury Campus, MK College and CMK Partnership.
There will be workshops before the festival and the skills learned will be used during the festival itself; think face painting, circus skills, salsa etc.
