Mighty Dub Fest 2017


The 7th Mighty Dub Fest, a Volkswagen Family Weekend Festival held from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th June 2017, at Alnwick Castle, Alnwick in Northumberland.

Line-up

Friday: King for a Day, Big Red And the Grinners, and The Purest Green.
Saturday:
 Friday Street, The Pretty Weeds, Hope Newton's Innocent, We Steal Flyers, Alnwicky, and Clippah.
Sunday:
 Rooster's Cat, and Tom Dibb.

Tickets are priced at £35 for an adult weekend with camping, and £9 for children aged under 16 years..

Entertainment

Daytime entertainment includes circus, dancers, live music, children's disco and art workshops, but most importantly, a large gathering of some of the best kept VW cars and campers in the country. The area in front of the main stand is where the car show will take place from classic Beetles to splitty campers.

Camping

Camping is available over two nights, the site has a large fresh water lake, woodland walks, and 7 miles of beach.

Show opening times

2pm for campers on the Friday (entertainment until 11.30pm)
10pm show opens Saturday closes 5pm (entertainment until 11.30pm)
10pm show opens Sunday closes 4pm

Please note the car park for day visitors is run by the council and they charge around £2 per day.

Entertainment

As well as the range of VW's to see there will be free kids workshops from Graffiti to Rock School, kid's disco, live music throughout the day until late. Also free Auto-jumble and cars for sale, variety of car and craft trade stands, kayaking, beach football, climbing wall, free runners, various outside catering units or festival goers can bring their own picnics or BBQ's to enjoy in the park grounds or on the beach. There is also a small on-site tea room at the information centre, with indoor toilets also available.
