Europe's biggest Gothic Festival, M'era Luna, takes place annually on the second weekend of every August at Drispenstedt Airfield, Hildesheim, in Germany.

Around the site

In addition to the two live stages, M´era Luna Festival will host a myriad of special attractions such as the renowned medieval fair, special book readings, erotic, lascivious and exquisite fashion shows, a gothic market and late night revelry in the Disco Hangar with renown DJs.

Getting there

Hildesheim is situated 30km SE of Hanover and has an airport. The best way to get there is by rail, and using a rail ticket with its advantages: discounts for early booking, for groups, weekend tickets and regional offers like the Niedersachsen ticket.

Get off the train at the station Station Hildesheim, then only about 30 minutes to the event site. Bus station - the airport: line 17. There is a shuttle bus direct to the festival site.
