The Lewes Guitar Festival was born in 1999 through a desire to celebrate the town's strong connection with the instrument since there are four full time and three part-time workshops. The small town of Lewes has become a hub of guitar-making with a constant flow of students of all ages too.
There will be weekday evening concerts to showcase the length and breadth of the guitar world, featuring jazz, blues, folk and world genres (come early for organic food).
The free lunchtime concerts are seen as great family occasions, traditionally featuring local acts as well as those from further afield, and offer an opportunity to sample the flavour of the festival over a glass of wine.
There's a flamenco finale on Saturday night.
