Due to lack of funds.
In endeavouring to program 2009's event the festival organisers have realised that they cannot finance the calibre of headline acts they need to maintain the event's reputation. 2009 will therefore be a year of rest during which they will investigate the options for external funding.

Lewes Folk Rock Festival, sponsored by Dark Star Brwery takes place on Friday 15th and Sunday 16th May 2009 at All Saints Arts Centre, Lewes.
There are no acts confirmed for 2009.
The site has a small bar equipped with real ales and a food stall in a sociable, fun atmosphere which is especially appropriate for families.
