Lancaster Music Festival 2009


Lancaster Music Festival is held on the weekend of Friday 9th until Sunday 11th October at more than twenty venues in Lancaster, Lancashire. Most of these events will be free.

Line-up

The line-up so far announced includes 3dtanx, Adventures Of Loki, Balkanics, BB Black Dog, Beat The Radar, Benni Beard, Bill Wilding, Boogie Bill Roberts, Butch Ross, Chas Ambler, Circus Freak, The Convulsions, Derek Gifford, Fuzzy Trees, Gary Todd (and band), Grant Curnow, Guernica, Gypsy Bill Williams, Half A Day, The Handsome Devils, Hard Times, Harold Salisbury and Friends, Homemade Lemonade, Hows My Pop, Hurting Bomb, Jaxtrio, Jivehoot, Jo Gillot, Jon Moore, The Keelers, Kirris Reviere Blues Band, Kish, LAVA, Liar Liar, Louis Barabbas and the Bedlam Six, Maria Jordan (and band), Mark Thornley Blues Band, Married to the Sea, Mostly Hums, Nomad 67, Paul Rhodes, Red Gap, Rewind, Richard Grainger, Sin After Sin, SNTAE, Speech Debelle, Sue Parish, Sun Street Stompers, Supa Cuba, Tantrum, Tin Pan Alley, Transpennine Express, Uncle Jeff, Van Preston, Vandeville Falls, Walter Mitty's Head, with more than 100 acts expected to play.

Venues

There will be over twenty venues and organisations and dozens of local and out of town bands celebrating Lancaster's great musical talent and diversity to provide a wide variety of music, along with industry showcases and workshops.

The venues are within easy walking distance of each other and are located mostly in the city centre. There are plenty of accommodation options, as well as places to eat and drink in Lancaster, and the festival is very centrally located.

Wherever possible the music will be powered using sustainable means.
