Kelburn Garden Party, takes place at Kelburn Castle and park, near Largs on Scotland's West coast on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2010.

The Kelburn Garden Party 2010 is an intimate affair of just 500 capacity in a magical environment. The main stage is set on a natural lawn surrounded by ancient trees, and under the gaze of the surreally painted Kelburn Castle.

Line-up

Live acts: DJ Vadim Presents The Electric, Broken Records, Meursault, Hidden Orchestra (formerly Joe Acheson Quartet), Anchorsong, Panda Su, The Ordinary Allstars, Lypsinc For A Lullaby, Alex Tronic, Stanley Odd, Freaky Family, Captain Slackship's Mezzanine Allstars, Alex Cornish, The Stagger Rats, Raise Your Hem, John Langhan Band, Iona Marshall, The House of La, The Set Up, and lots more.

DJs: Tom Middleton, Vic Galloway, Jon Kennedy, Taz Buckfaster, NoFACE, Dom Servini, Point To C, Radio Magnetic Soundsystem, DJ Astroboy, Join The Dots, Desperado Dan, and lots more.

Poets: Nicola Black, Kevin Cadwallender, Sally Evans Colin Will, Nick-e-Melville, Rodney Relax.

Workshops: Singing, Capoeira, Drumming, and more to come.

Musically the festival will offer a line-up of talent from around the UK, but with a strong focus on local acts, with music ranging from funk and hip-hop through reggae, samba, indie, electro, dubstep to jazz and acoustic performances.

The Saturday will be the main day with a full program on the main stage and dance tent, with acoustic sessions running until late at the Viewpoint. Sunday is a day for chilling out on the lawn to blissful sounds while a full roast lunch is served, refuelling festival goers for the closing party up at the Viewpoint that will run late into the night.

Tickets

Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed, and tickets are not yet on sale.

The site

The Garden Party is taking place in the grounds of the Kelburn Castle near Largs (40mins from Glasgow, 90mins from Edinburgh), known around the world as the site of the Graffiti Project. Entertainment will be spread over three areas, the Garden Stage, The Viewpoint Area and the Electric Cocktail Bar. Quality food, bars, chill-out areas, stalls, woodland walks all within the site.

Travel

The festival site is very easy to reach. Trains go to Largs from Glasgow on a regular basis, and from Largs it is a very short and cheap taxi ride. For those coming from further afield cheap flights to Glasgow Prestwick are available at Ryanair. You can get to Largs by train or bus from the airport (around 1 hour journey). Cheap advace train tickets are available now for travel to Glasgow from around the UK. More info will be available on the website soon.

Cars & camping

To encourage car-sharing and public transport there will be a nominal fee for vehicles. The campsite will be open from Friday afternoon to Monday morning.
