Isle of Wight Festival 2005 review

By Scott Williams | Published:

The four piece rip out with ‘Come Back Around’ and in the process get half the crowd on their side with a pounding drum beat and though the sun has gone down the tempo is just as scorching. ‘Just the Way I’m feeling’ gets a loud cheer right from the first note and the crowd join in on the chorus with passion.

Having seen some hardcore fans wearing Download shirts in the crowd with Feeder included on the bill I asked whether they were playing Download tomorrow as the band sounded fresh, but no they’d played the night before.

‘Stumble and Fall’ is another sing along track and despite having none of their albums it seems I know much more of their songs than I thought. ‘Feeling a moment has that great "woo-oo-ooo" moment which makes us all smile and join in too.

With ‘Pushing the Senses’ and crowd favourite ‘Buck Rogers’ with the “CD player, player, player” bit I personally thought the were terrific and I have been converted to a fan of the band on the back of this gig alone.
