The Big Day Out 2010


The Big Day Out in Whittington Park takes place on Sunday 4th July as part of the Holloway Arts Festival.

The FREE event will last from 2 - 6pm and promises to bring together a full schedule of events featuring local and international artists and performers, film screenings, arts workshops and performance for everyone.

Line-up

The varied line-up includes High Tea, an interactive performance from 'Instantly Theatrical'; 'Danny The Wild Balloon Tamer', a fabulous balloon 'airtist' from Circo Ridiculoso; music from the Scorch Saxophone Quartet, a selection of Guildhall School of Music graduates

Female Singer/Songwriter Competition Final on Tuesday 29 June. Hosted by satirical ukulele performer Amelia Robinson.
Tragedy, Poetry and Vinyl on Wednesday 30 June. An evening with John Hegley, Aoife Mannix, Janie Armour, Malika Booker and Rachel Pantechnicon. With Tim Wells providing the finest in reggae and soul.
Battle of the Bands Final - Thursday 1 July.
Nigel Burch and the Flea-Pit Orchestra - Sunday 4 July.

Other entertainment at Big Day Out

There will also be dance performances and workshops and a range of themed arts and crafts workshops, street theatre, children's shows and many opportunities to get creative with film-making, badge-making, hat-making and mosaic-making workshops.
