This community festival offers a wide range of events over the weekend, many aimed at rediscovering Reiver ancestry through drama, music, re-enactments, crafts, walks, horses and arts. This year's programme is as follows:

Friday, 23rd March
Scocha Concert at Hawick Town Hall starting at 8pm.

Saturday, 24th March
The opening procession starts along Hawick High Street at 10.30am, led by costumed riders on horseback, and features an all-day 16th Century Market and Reivers Encampment, plus a Reiver Wedding at St. Cuthbert’s Church at noon.
Drumlanrig Tower is open all day with activities and displays and there are 4 different dramamtic performances in St. Mary’s Church at 11am, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm - all free. There are also free Children’s Art Workshops for 5 - 12 year olds from 11am to 12.30pm & from 2pm to 4pm.
Traditional Music Workshops take place all day at various venues and include fiddle, guitar and whistle/flute to suit all(some experience is necessary). For full details, contact D.Anderson on 01450 370356.
Other events on Saturday include a free guided walk, a torchlight procession – The Hot Trod starting at 6.45pm, and a firework display and bonfire at Volunteer Park Sports Ground. Torches will be on sale to those aged 16 and over (at your own risk).
The Evening Concert begins at 8.30pm in Hawick High School and features Lori Watson and Border Fiddles in concert, plus young musicians and singers from the Traditional Music Department of Newcastle University.

Sunday, 25th March
This slightly more sedate day includes a Walk of the Hawick Common Land incorporating the traditional route taken by Hawick Cornet and his supporters when riding the Common on Common Riding morning). Then there's a Literary Talk at 4pm ('The Reivers and the Making of the Borders' by Alastair Moffat) followed by High Tea at the Mansfield House Hotel (£10 – pre-booking essential - contact A. Neilson on 01450 378768 for more information) and an Evening Service at 6pm in St Cuthbert’s Church.
