Hachfest 2008

Now in its 4th year Hachfest is a 3-day event, taking place from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July, at Mutimer's Meadow in Hacheston, Suffolk. The festival aims to provide a great weekend of entertainment for all the family, showcasing local live music, and raising money for local charities. Last year the festival raised over £10,000.

Musically each night of the festival has a theme. Friday night is a Retro Revival party night, with various local 60s/70s/80s bands playing and the band Abba Revival headlining. Saturday is 'Local, Live and Loud' day - a day full of performances from local bands and musicians, with 'Noasis' headlining. Sunday is Chill Out day, with folk, Celtic rock, world music and acoustic performances.

Acts confirmed for the weekend so far are:
Friday Retro Revival Night: Bits n' Pieces, Boulevard Blonde, The Glamtastics, The Wild Oats, and Abba Revival.
Saturday Live Local and Loud: Battle of the Bands, Chimera, Underline the Sky, Trick of the Light, Asa Jennings, Exigent, Hipshot, Wicked Grin, Skin The Fish, Sleeper Cell, Voodoo's Child, The Ballistics, Mister Pink, Rosalita, The Fat Band, and Noasis.
Sunday Chilled Out: Suffolk Sunday Lunch - comedy, Cool Remedy, Hannah Scott, The Marvellous, Rob Castellani, HeyZuuz, The Zoobies, Will Hessey, Peter Hepworth, Kara, The Folk Collective, and Murphy's Lore.

Proceeds go to local charities. This year the event is supporting St Elizabeth Hospice, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, as well as other local charities.
