Gower Folk Festival 2010


Gower Folk Festival takes place in the covered courtyard of The Gower Heritage Centre, Parkmill, in the Gower Peninsula, Wales from Friday 11th until Sunday 13th June 2010.

Line-up

The line-up includes Spiers & Boden, Climax Ceilidh Band, Calan, Kerfuffle, Brian Finnegan Trio, The Angles, Bill Caddick, Karen Tweed, Fay Hield Trio, Cass Meurig & Nial Cain, Damien Barber & Mike Wilson, Ewan McLennan, Cupola, Flossie Malavialle, Sophie Lavoie & Fiachra O'Regan, Arcadia, Olion Byw, Kaheesha, Celtic Sound, and Kerry Fletcher, with more still to be confirmed.

Tickets

Ticket are priced at £45 for adult weekend ticket, children (5-18) tickets are priced at £20. Day tickets are also available. To download a booking form (in .doc format) click here.

Camping

Festival camping is at Three Cliffs Bay Caravan & Camping site, quarter of a mile from the venue by road. Weekend camping (3 nights for the price of 2)for weekend ticket holders only is priced at £22 for a one man tent, £36 for a family tent £36 for a campervan on field, and £42 for a caravan (price includes electric hook up).

Food and drink

The festival bar is open all weekend and is hosted by The King's Head of Llangennith, serving real ales. The Heritage Centre tea rooms provide soft drinks, tea, coffee, snacks and a variety of hot meals. There is also a general stores in the village, open 7 days a week. But please note that the nearest cash-point machine is several miles away, as is the nearest garage. The nearest pharmacy is a mile away in Pennard.

Activities

The Gower Heritage Centre is home to a variety of traditional crafts, and regular demonstrations of woodturning and weaving. Activities such as puppet-making, pottery and craft workshops are available for children (at an additional cost). Kids will also have fun seeing ducks, chickens and sheep and there are also play areas.
