Now in its second year, this year's dates are 1-3rd November. This event provides a platform for musicians representing all genres of music plus a music education conference.
Based in the Digbeth area of Birmingham, various venues in Digbeth are used, ranging from Barfly and the Custard Factory through to South Birmingham College and the Glee Club. The organisers have teamed up with Music Live at the NEC which also runs that weekend to give visitors double the amount to do while they are in Brum.
In addition to 2006, there will be stages dedicated to young peoples music making that will link into school and music service events in the region to encourage direct progression for young groups.
Artists confirmed to play are as follows; Mr Hudson & The Library, Soweto Kinch, Nizlopi, The Priory, Achanak, Orchestra of the Swan, LTJ Buckem, Nu Life, Sunset Cinema Club, The Gravity Crisis, and Mr Derry. There will also be 'Project X Presents' - A five hour omnimedia experience, incorporating ambient, folk, rock and dance music, interwoven with performance and visual art and a set from stand up comedian Reginald D Hunter.
