Garway, in the very south west corner of rural Herefordshire and only a mile or so from the Welsh border, has a lot of history and a lot of tradition. And in 2010 a new tradition began - the Garway Folk Weekend, including special guests, song sessions, music sessions, shanty session, Ceilidh, concerts, showcases, music and song workshops, Morris teams, young musicians meet, storytelling, rural crafts, village market, a guided walk, and camping.
In 2013 organisers announced there would not be another Garway Folk Weekend.
