Foxton Locks Festival 2013


Foxton Locks Festival takes place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June at Foxton Locks, Foxton, in Leicestershire. This event was cancelled last year due to bad weather.

Line-up

Live music all day Saturday and Sunday from Daisy Richards, Fay Brotherhood, Half Cut Theatre, Midnight Wire, Siobhan Mazzie, The Paddywax, The Sea Above, Muttz Nuttz, Ian Lovall, The Fallows, Flip Like Wilson, Silver Threetles, Joneszy, Daz Lynch, The Accidents, Rhett Barrow, Fatbwo, Markus Reeves, Luzons Bleeding Heart, Dirty G's, The Simpletones, and Steve Faulkner.

Arena Shows: Saxons/Vikings, Cuthberts Twirlers, and Fire Dancer.

Arts & Acoustic Area: Art Shark, Wigston Enterprise Band, Ukulele Band, Quartet, Belly Dancing, Hoola Hooping, and Busker Organs.

Fun rides: Fun Fair Rides, Bungeetrampoline, Pony Rides, and Megazone Laser Quest.

Exhibits: Beech Tree Bunnies, Miniture Zoo, Corn Snake, Birds of Prey, Static Steam Engine, Viking/Saxon Living Village, Archery Range, Green Goddess, 1950 Fire Engine, Historic Fire Engines, Triumph 6 Club, Vintage Vehicles, Classic Vehicles, 1948 Vintage Lorry, Tractors, Small Steam Engines, Alpacas, and Steam Engines.

Tickets

Admission is priced at £4 for adults all day, children aged under 16 years can enter for free. Parking is an additional £1. Entry is on the day.

Accommodation

There is no camping available for this event, although there are plenty of places to stay in and around Leicester.

This Festival is organised entirely by volunteers from Foxton Inclined Plane Trust who regularly give their time for free.
