Foxstock Music Festival 2009

Foxstock, now in its 7th year, is a FREE open air Blues and Folk Festival in the heart of the Cotswolds. It will take place over the August Bank Holiday from Friday 28th to Monday 31st August 2009.

The festival starts with a Pub Music Night on the Friday, two full days of bands and acts from 12.30pm to 23.30pm (or as late as the musicians want to carry on playing!) on the Saturday and Sunday, and a more informal extended jam and performance session from around 1pm on the Monday.

Foxstock is led and curated by Maurice Dickson, an Irish acoustic blues and folk player. Confirmed blues acts include The Stone Saloon, The parish Music Box, featuring James Argyle, Urban Stew, Jim Crawford, and Ian Briggs with his new line up The Supervampers.

Folk music is also represented with Maurice Dickson himself, Aisling Ceoil, Catherine Ashcroft, Folkus, and Oeck. Also appearing will be Stompin' Dave Allen.

The festival is in a lovely setting around a traditional country pub on the banks of the River Windrush, offering food, beer and music! The music is FREE. Camping is available for £35 for the weekend (Friday to Monday).

There will be more information here when available.
